Unity Portal Terms of Use

These terms explain how residents, organizations, and volunteers may use Unity Portal.

Last updated: October 17, 2026

Unity Portal provides a connection and coordination platform. Participating churches, nonprofits, agencies, businesses, and volunteers remain independent organizations responsible for their own services, eligibility decisions, conduct, licensing, safety procedures, and outcomes.

1. Acceptance of terms

By using Unity Portal you agree to these terms and to our Privacy and Request Handling policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Account eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. People under 18 should use Unity Portal with a parent or guardian's permission. Organization accounts must be created by an authorized representative.

3. Accurate and current information

You agree to provide truthful information and to keep your account and listings up to date.

4. Appropriate use

Use Unity Portal only to seek, offer, or coordinate community help, and treat every person with dignity and respect.

5. Prohibited conduct

  • Fraudulent requests, impersonation, or false listings
  • Harassment, threats, or abusive language
  • Discrimination against people seeking help
  • Illegal activity, or using personal information for solicitation, advertising, fundraising, or political outreach
  • Attempting to access private data or disrupt the platform

6. Organization responsibilities

Organizations are responsible for keeping their listings, services, hours, eligibility, and contact information accurate, and for handling any request they receive with confidentiality.

7. Privacy and confidentiality

Information you see about people requesting help may be used only to respond to that request. Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy and Request Handling policy.

8. Content moderation

Unity Portal may review, edit, hide, or remove content that violates these terms or puts people at risk. Prayer Wall posts are public; posts with flagged language are held for review before anyone sees them. Anyone may report a listing or post through the Report a Concern page, and reports are reviewed by Unity Portal administrators.

9. Suspension and removal

We may suspend or remove accounts and listings that violate these terms, provide false information, or create safety concerns.

10. Intellectual property

The Unity Portal name, logo, and site design belong to Unity Portal. You keep ownership of content you post and give Unity Portal permission to display it on the platform.

11. No guarantee of assistance

Submitting a request does not guarantee that help will be provided or that any particular outcome will occur. Organization verification does not guarantee the availability, quality, licensing, or safety of any service.

12. Emergency disclaimer

Unity Portal is not an emergency service. Call 911 for a life-threatening emergency. Call or text 988 for mental-health or suicide-crisis support. Dial 2-1-1 for statewide information and referrals.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
